McNeil High School Band

The Symphonic Band is under the direction of Jason Dimiceli. Under Mr. Dimiceli’s leadership the group has enjoyed four very successful years. The Symphonic Band received multiple Sweepstakes Ratings at UIL Concert and Sight Reading Contests. They also were First Runner-Up in their division at the DC Festivals-New Orleans contest in 2005. Members of the Symphonic Band have auditioned into and performed in the Region Band and have made area and All-State bands and orchestras in subsequent years.

The Symphonic Band class meets during 2nd period and the Instrumental Ensemble class that that coincides with this band class meets during 6th period. These classes are from 10:42-12:15 everyday. All the members in Symphonic Band particpate in the McNeil Marching Band as well as in UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest.
