Hello Mav Band and Guard Family!

Thank you to the students for making 8th Grade Night a success. I only heard wonderful feedback from their directors, so thank you! I hope everyone had a restful Labor Day weekend! We are so excited to get back to work this week!

We have another clinician coming in this week to work with the band. His name is Ronnie Pruitt and he is one of the very best! We'll take more about him during class.

Please notice the new announcements. Oh, and the repeated ones are repeated because we still need responses and action from people. :)

PARENTS: In order to avoid having your child wait for you late at night and to prevent the directors from having to stay extra late after a long week, please double-check that you are subscribed to the Parent Group in BAND. I will let you know when you should leave to come and get your child after a game or contest. The directors didn't get home until about midnight because they were waiting on some students. Please help us by being reachable. You can also help us by getting your child to call long before they are ready to leave.

EVERYONE: Please subscribe to the band calendar and add it to your calendar app. Simply click on the "+ Google calendar" at the bottom of this month. This probably has to be done from a laptop or desktop. Doing this will keep you updated in real-time, and it will prevent confusion in the future. I continue to receive questions quite regularly when the answer is in the calendar. Thank you for doing this now.
