Weekly Announcements 8/25/24
Hello, Mav Band and Guard Family!
Are you excited about the beginning of the football season? We have our first game on Thursday, so please be prepared and informed. We will use email, the Band app, and social media, so everyone should know what to expect. There is always the official calendar (linked in the weekly announcements)
Parents, I normally leave the volunteer needs to the Band Boosters, but they are having difficulty filling vital roles. We have wonderful parents who do too much already and we need more people to help share the workload. I am asking you to please consider stepping up to fill the roles below and to sign up for various concessions shifts. This is a great way to get involved and help support all students in the program and only a few hours at a time. I realize some families are not able to commit the time, but there are many who can. It is a good time and a good cause.
*Urgent Opening* - Concession Stand Manager - Varsity Visitor Stand (general leadership position)
Stand Managers are needed for both Visitor concession stands at 5 Home Varsity games. Responsible for directing volunteers, closing concession stand, completing paperwork of concession sales, and depositing earnings after each game.
*Updated* Concession Stand Manager Shadow - Deerpark MS (general leadership position) Games at McNeil HS - Work with the current concession stand manager to train with the intention of volunteering in this position for the last couple of games this year and volunteer next year. Responsible for opening and closing concession stand and directing volunteers. Completes paperwork of concession sales and deposits earnings after each game.
*Still Open* Concession Stand Manager - Varsity Shadow (general leadership position)
Stand Manager shadows are needed for both Home and Visitor concession stands at 5 Home Varsity games. Train with the current manager to be ready for next year. Responsible for directing volunteers, closing concession stand, completing paperwork of concession sales, and depositing earnings after each game.
*Still Open* Concession Stand Manager - Cedar Valley Middle School (general leadership position)
Responsible for opening and closing concession stand and directing volunteers. Completes paperwork of concession sales and deposits earnings after each game. CeVMS concessions operate for 8 home football games Training is provided, no experience needed.
