Jason Dimiceli

Mr. Dimiceli arrived at McNeil in the Fall of 2004, originally serving as Associate Director. Before coming to McNeil Mr. Dimiceli taught at San Marcos HS and Westfield HS (Spring ISD).

In addition to his teaching duties, Mr. Dimiceli serves as the TMEA Region 26 Band Division Chair. Mr. Dimiceli is proud to serve as Tour Director for the Star of Central Texas for Musical Horizons International. His mission is to help create truly life-changing experiences for young musicians and their families as they travel throughout Europe performing in five different countries. Before this appointment, Mr. Dimiceli enjoyed gaining the requisite experience serving on the staff of the Texas Ambassadors of Music in 2017 and 2019. Mr. Dimiceli is an active concert and sight-reading judge for the Texas Music Adjudicators Association.

Mr. Dimiceli grew up in Houston, Texas before attending UT-Austin, where he graduated with a degree in Music Studies, and he also spent the summers of 1997-1999 performing with the 7-time DCI World Champions, The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps from Rosemont, Illinois. 

He and his wife Jennifer married in 2001, and their daughter Emily currently attends Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, where she is studying for a career in civil rights advocacy.

Mr. Dimiceli loves watching Major League Baseball, football, and golf, and his favorite teams are the Houston Astros and Texas Longhorns. He also enjoys running, cycling, playing golf, cooking, and traveling. He also LOVES Summer Moon gift cards!
