Private Lesson Faculty: Trombone
Joseph Raby
Joseph is a freelance trombonist in central Texas. He teaches private lessons for Trombone, Euphonium, and Tuba in Leander, Pflugerville, and Round Rock ISD. In May 2024, Joseph earned his Masters in Music Performance from Colorado State University. While at CSU, he was the graduate teaching assistant for the trombone choir, an ensemble invited to perform at the 2023 International Trombone Festival in Salt Lake City. Before his time at CSU, Joseph taught private lessons in Hutto ISD from 2019 to 2021. He earned his Bachelors in Music Education from Texas State University in 2019, where he was a member of the Texas State University Wind Symphony, Symphonic Winds, Concert Band, Jazz Lab, and Jazz Orchestra, as well as the trombone choir directed by Dr. Martin McCain. Joseph also has several years of experience as a member of the marching arts, marching baritone with the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps in 2014 and 2015, and teching for Round Rock High School from 2017 to 2018 and Vista Ridge High School from 2021 to 2023. During his free time (if he has it), Joseph loves working out, being outside, and watching football. He is a long-suffering fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
